Small, cute bar. Older setting. Good folks!
The nighttime scene is a younger crowd than the daytime. If football or basketball is playing a few games will be on the TVs. During the week you'll find locals on most nights, with some military who show up on payday or when their boat is in. The weekends can be crowded, and it might be a while before they get to your song.
It's a dive bar. Yup. But, it's a family too. There is karaoke after 9PM any night for $1 per song. Sometimes the bartenders or the owner brings in food. On holidays there will almost always be a party of some kind. Most nights are reasonably quite and there is almost always an empty seat. It gets a little more crowded on the weekend.
Great cocktails selection of beer good people good friends
Fun little hole in the wall with decent drink prices and good camaraderie. If your in Kailua, this is the water hole. I did want to say this is definitely a small town bar, dive type hole in the wall.
When karaoke isn't playing they have a Touch Tunes jukebox. There is also a pool table in the back.
Kailua Palace is the worst bar in Kailua. The bartender Kari is the rudest, least hospitable bartender you will ever meet. If you go, make sure you pay in cash as you go, cuz you might get some charges on your card that you weren't expecting.
The restrooms are reasonable. They typically have soap at the sink and paper towels. When it gets busy, they run out and the bartenders don't necessarily have time to refill them.
