This place is absolutely wonderful!!! They are priced great for everything you need! They are located close to the beaches so it's an easy trek to the water. I even accidentally locked my keys in my car while there and they were kind enough to get my car open for me. Highly recommended to everyone! Can't wait to use them again!
Renting bikes from Windward Watersports was one of the best parts of this trip home to Kailua. I saw parts of Kailua that I missed in all the years of living there. We rode on the Kawainui marsh and the Lanikai loop. We saw amazing views. The guys that work at Windward Watersports are fun and helpful:) They are committed to helping you have the best time while in Kailua whether it be through biking, SUP or other water sports. I highly recommend Windward Watersports for any of the equipment you may need to rent for your adventures while visiting Hawai`i. The guys working there were awesome and very helpful in telling us which path to take through the ocean to get to the Molkulua islands, carrying the kayak, they did all the work to accommodate our rental car to carry the kayak (no roof racks) and told us the best place to launch. It's probably a bit more pricey than you'll be used to, but welcome to Hawaii. They were the cheapest in the area, but definitely worth it. Thank you!
We were so thrilled to have discovered this place. My husband and I rented both cruiser bikes (which came with helmets and locks) and paddle boards from them. The rates were very reasonable and the people who work here were incredibly helpful. They helped us figure out when to rent the paddle boards by checking out wind conditions for the next few days, delivered the paddle boards to our rental place, gave us quick instructions on how to use them, and picked them up when our rental was done. They even kindly brought our luggage into town with them on our last day when they picked up the paddle boards. Because of this, we were able to just follow them on the bikes we were returning and then go straight to the bus stop. We didn't have to walk back to our rental place then walk back into town with our luggage. We would go back to them in a heartbeat.
Great staff very helpful about local area. Great kayaks and gear loaded easy on the car. Our best day on the island.
