Nice beach but hard to gind parking.
Everything is convenient and quick snack. We arrived at kailua beach center on 08/17/17 between 3 to 3:30 pm. But there's an old lady wearing a hat, a sunshades and a blue flowery shirt and that roam around the parking area. She went to my husband stating that the parking area are for customers. My husband told her that we are here to eat something and the lady said again twice that this parking for customer. My husband explain again on a calm manner that we are customers and we are here to eat. We are party of 10 and we all left because of what she did.
We had a great time kayaking with our guide, Sam. Enjoyed sandwiches at the market after. Note that local regulations require that you walk your kayak to the beach. It's on a cart, so not too much of a burden.
Kailua beach is a very good beach to play in the water because there is a lifeguard on duty, and swimming here is pleasant.
We had delicious pizza here at Bob's Pizzaria.
