took my 2001 lexus in for an oil change and to have the ac recharged it just wasn't as cold as it used to be, go to pick it up they say the compressor was leaking,he said they had to add some refrigerant to test the system,i paid my diag fee and oil change left with my paperwork and estimate, i did not look at it yet i left there is NO cool air coming out of the system, 2 hrs ago it needed a recharge,now there estimate is 3000.00 i guess if you replace every part your bound to get it rite the days of mechanics actually being able to fix something are long gone, now they are just parts replacers i was in the motorcycle business for 36 years,ive watched this issue slowly evolve, send them to a school for 6 months then let them loose. i am so unhappy that i now have to deal with this not happy not happy
The counter staff are great here, sometimes there is a wait though
Went in to have the AC serviced, they quoted a major leak and complete compressor replacement to the tune of $3,000+. Went to the local mechanic shop by the used furniture store and he fixed it with a can of sealant and recharge,
