I was referred to Mia by one of my friends and she is the best! Went to her ever since! She does very good quality work and is a down to earth person! Thank you for doing my nails Mia!
I gave this place 2 stars because the job was decent enough. But man, the service was bad. It's your stereotypical Asian-owned nail salon. Stand-offish Vietnamese workers, chatting and gossiping about the clients to their faces. There was a woman who obviously looked like she was being medically treated for something and the man that was working on her just kept smirking at her coworkers about her appearance and chuckling. Disgusting. I had a man do my job and it was so weird that he didn't speak an ounce of English. It's fine, but the way he would push my feet or hands to indicate he wants them out or in or just gesture at me and then get annoyed cause I don't understand all his gestures. Did he not learn how to simply say "in" or "out"? People don't like to be prodded. And when I didn't want my all cuticles cut off, I had to SHOW him what I meant cause he just didn't understand me. The most awkward experience I've ever had. Work is good. But service at that price? Ugh, rather go somewhere else.
I went here because a lot of the spouses on mcbh recommended it. I have to say I was not impressed and am very disappointed. There were so many people who work and i guess didn't get one of the good ones. By the look of the ladies work, she didn't put much forth much effort. My toe nails get stained from wearing the same polish for to long so they usually use a tool to scrap it off/sand it off. She did not, so my French pedicure looks bad. It looks like I have foot fungus because my toes are still tented from previous polish. I also got an eye brow wax. Unfortunately by the same woman. Ounce again, no effort. I had to pluck when I got home bacuse of all the strays. And she messed my brow shape up. I have straight lines for brows now. I paid 50$ for a wack job.
Went last week for 2 pedicures and gel manicure. Crabby customer service never going back. I live close by and attempt this place once in awhile and still get crabby service I had 2 other ladies with me the other times too. They need us more than we need them. Went to Friendly Nails outstanding job and customer service.
People that work here are very nice and all, but they do not do a good job on the nails. I left thinking I wouldn’t even write a bad review I would simply never come back but my nails are so bad now that I must write one. I asked for square nail and the girl made it so square the corners were super sharp and they kept getting stuck at things and breaking. I kept asking her to fix it and showing her the corners were bad and she barely understood me and my nails started looking like a triangle(!!!!!!). So I just told her it was ok and decided to fix them at home but she tried to fix it so many times that my nails are now super short. Pedicure I don’t even see a difference besides the inflammation that I now have on my big toe and anything that touches it is super painful. I am never coming back here. They were super expensive too. I think with tips it was more than $50!!!! I am never coming back here. I don’t know of any other nail place in Kailua go recommend but this is definitely not it.
