Not everyone who goes to the ER is lying or faking their pain. I do not know if some, if not all, of the ER staff are jaded and have come to treat all patients when they arrive as if they have delusional health problems; this is not right to do.
When a patient falls from the bed and a family member is calling for help and pressing the call button, is it protocol to turn off the light without checking the patient? And having the family member press the button repeatedly, while calling for help and trying to keep the patient from doing unknown harm to himself from the iv lines that are connected because he has bleeding in his brain and is disoriented? Is that the protocol that is supposed to be followed?
Also, if you have Adventist health as part of your moniker, the way you practice is a reflection or witness of God.
Was woken up late at night with severe ear pain, after having been sick for a week, and told by Urgent Care that what I had was viral. Staff was prompt in having me seen, offices were clean, and the nurses and Dr. were extremely caring. Everyone showed compassion and took the time to listen to my complaint. Dr. gave my diagnosis/treatment plan, and the discharge nurse took time to sit and speak with me about my treatment, made extra recommendations, and spoke on a personal level. Very pleased with the care offered, and appreciated the card mailed to my home.
Today my soar blitzed out and I can see my flesh exposed. I don't have a ride back to them, what the hell I suppose to do. You can't trust people that really don't care.
I ask the Doctore to please clean my quarters size soar and then does nothing but send me out with antibiotics. Why all that attitude? The doctor under his breath as he was walking out gave me a rude come back let me dig out your soar. Talking down at me.
Castle is getting worst! Pay all the money for What?
I am not sure why the ball was dropped, but it was. Dropped, ignored and dismissed. Hours after arriving at the ER a ct scan was finally read. Bleeding in the brain. Again seeing patients as if they are there to win an oscar should not be how you view all patients.
It seems one needs to be bleeding from several orifices in order to receive DECENT medical attention.
I appreciate great customer care and I am sure that there are staff here that do exceptional work. Thank you to all of those type of staff.
But on the flipside you also have careless staff who seem to have forgotten about basic human kindness.
I come from a family who only goes to the Doctor if there is a serious issue, so taking oneself to the ER means its beyond serious. We also weigh the options, its the weekend so they will probably be less helpful, etc. So when a family member goes in with a headache, it is not something of little consequence. As was the case two days ago.
If you absolutely must go to Castle ER - be very, very careful and watchful for yourself and your loved ones because they are heartless and careless here.
This review is for that specific incident. As i stated before, the staff at the hospital as a whole are not all bad. Even though moments like these make it hard not to see the institution in a bad light.
Less than two weeks ago the doctors, nurses, and aides in Castle's ER - FAILED MY PARENTS. I truly think that they do not care, because it's just another body passing through, and no longer their "problem".
They where so judgmental for a Christian Hospital. Your better care would be going to town. The workers in ER has no class. They stereotype people then give the less patient care. Never got treatment like this. Castle services is bad.
You "look" fine? Then Castle's ER staff will write you off as just another person wasting their time with an imaginary ailment.
Heartless and careless. These are just a couple words I will now use to describe your hellish ER staff.
Half ass services - 10 from the doctor and nurse!
I absolutely love the labor and delivery staff that helped me give birth to my daughter on Monday. They made the experience so wonderful and not once did I ever feel like an inconvenience to them. They are the most compassionate people. They took wonderful care of my daughter in the Nursery and always made me feel like everything was going to be okay. Thank you to every staff and doctor that made me feel calm and loved. I will definitely be coming back if the chance ever came up!
