Carol was a lovely host, very funny and warm, and offered great suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and activities. We enjoyed sharing our adventures with her when we came back and the end of the (sometimes very long!) day.
We've just had 2 wonderful weeks with Carol at Manu Mele. Carol is such a warm, welcoming and friendly host and very keen to make sure all her guests needs are met.
The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. It was great to be able to swim in the refreshing quiet pool in the gorgeous garden as it was so hot when we visited.
Carol provided lots of tips and as we didn't have a car was even so kind to drop us to Kailua one day, and take us to the farmers market with her.
Manu Mele Kailua B&B was amazing. We were in Kailua from Maui as my mom was having surgery at Castle Medical Center. Manu Mele was spotless clean, remodeled to perfection and super comfortable. Carol's home is conveniently located close to Aikahi Park shops and bus stop into Kailua. The surrounding homes In her street are beautiful and we enjoyed many walks here and on the beach.
This is the second time we've stayed at Manu Mele, the first was in 2013, and we're so glad we made it back. We stayed for a week and it feels like being in our own private home. The room has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Carol stocked the fridge with coffee, fruit, cheese, Greek yogurt, bread, and jam. Every morning we had tea and breakfast at the pool-side tables in the beautiful yard and walked down the path to the beach to watch the sunrise. Stunning! There's also a whole closet full of beach gear - snorkels, bodyboards, chairs, and even a skateboard if you want to test yourself!
The room is very clean and has a modern feeling. It was so lovely to be welcomed with our fridge full of cut pineapple, yogurt, bread, butter, jam and cereal.
Cannot rate Manu Mele highly enough! We received a warm welcome from the wonderful Carol and spent a great few days touring about the island or lazing by the pool in the immaculately maintained yard. Kailua Beach is a short stroll away and Carol also gave us some great recommendations on hikes and activities around Oahu as well as on the other islands. A fantastic stay!

Wow! I travel to Hawaii just about every winter and this was my first stay with Carol and it won't be my last. Home and yard were very clean and private. The beach access was right next to the home and gave me a lot of opportunity to use paddle board. There was also plenty of room to store my board safely. I hardly ever write a review but with Carol made a lasting impression and treated us like family.
