Beach and views of twin mini islands are breathtaking.
Not the best park for kids. Needs a lot more shade. Play equipment was WAY too hot. You would think with the million dollar houses surrounding the park they could invest in a bit more for their local play area for kids.
Here's a random note (aka complaint): sand waaay too small & leaves an abrasive film that's impossible to remove since there aren't any showers. There aren't any restrooms or even garbage cans for that matter.
Super hard to find parking anywhere in the neighborhood, and when you get to the beach, you see why: it's full of people! The water is not as clean as it used to be decades ago, and there are far fewer fish. But still it's a gorgeous beach.
Decent, but showing it's age. My kids still love going there, we live down the street. No public restroom, so plan accordingly.
No parking lots so you're forced to wedge your car in front of the richie riches' houses as they glare at you for intruding into their high tax bracket haven. Curses! The ridiculous, tiny 2-lane roads should have dissuaded the commoners from venturing forth.
Absolutely perfect dream like beach with turquoise waters, get there early as there is not much parking spots.
Wall-to-wall drunken bodies. Basically Waikiki but sub the demure & polite Japanese tourists for frat boys throwing any object they can get their fat inebriated hands on.
