Rick was amazing! As an Aussie who can't legally ride Segways on the roads, it was great to explore and find out more about Hawaii this way. The local insider knowledge showed us brilliant places to go back to ;) Thanks Rick for making our wedding adventures in Hawaii even more fun!
This is something we will NEVER forget and will for sure be doing again on our next visit!
Prior to getting out on the road though, our tour guides took us through enough training to feel comfortable on the Segway's, and to be honest it only took about 5-10 min. to feel like riding the Segway was second nature. You certainly don't have to be an athlete at all to ride these things and before we knew it we were zooming around the indoor training space and the parking lot like old Segway pros. Shortly thereafter the whole group was cruising down the paths of Kailua really enjoying the experience.
Earlier this year we took an amazing vacation to Oahu and stayed in a beach house just south of Kailua on Oahu. We did all kinds of activities to keep us entertained and give us a chance to explore the island. We really wanted to do something different, that none of us had done before, and this Segway tour fit the bill. It was an amazing adventure! I really feel that this outing really made our vacation for us and the rest of the group. None of us had ever ridden a Segway before so some in the party were a bit concerned.

I took my girlfriend to Waikiki and we saw a flyer for this company so we decided to try it out. It was about a 20 minute drive to the location. The area was gorgeous, and the beach was much more secluded then Waikiki beach, which was nice for the scenic aspects of the tour. Rick, the owner, was awesome. He was very enthusiastic and friendly. They have only been around for about 6 months according to the staff, but the tour seemed like it was a well oiled machine. Our guide was simply wonderful. He was a younger guy in his late 20s-early 30s, but unfortunately I forget his name. He took pictures on our camera, and made the tour exceptional. I found him to be both well trained and spontaneous, which was perfect for one heck of an adventure.
This is not your typical sight seeing tour. Segways are so much fun! The tour guides were able to tell us all sorts of info about the houses we saw, what plants were growing in the park, and answer all the questions we had. One of my favorite parts was how we stopped several times to take fun pictures as a group and to see the beaches. I hope next time I'm in Hawaii I can do this again.
Great way for an alternative way of seeing parts of the island
Our tour guides were AMAZING! We had the most amazing experience and our guides took pictures the entire way (and videos) so we could have them afterwards. The highlight of the tour was visiting the lookout point in Kailua where we were able to get some amazing photos of the group and then head down to the beaches along the tour. The next morning we returned to one of the beaches we visited on the tour and spend the afternoon there playing.
