The inside is less then appealing and they could do a better job of making it look nice and clean; it looks like it would violate codes, if you know what I mean... but at least the food was good and they were nice!
Took a gamble with this place for fun. I ordered a bbq chicken plate with rice and macaroni for 9 dollars. Rice and macaroni were bland but plentiful. The chicken was well worth it. If their menu was more clear and organized and their hawaiian bbq theme was better represented, they could be killing it.
This place is a hidden little gem. I say hidden because I've lived here for my entire life (24 years) and I've only discovered this place within the last couple years. The inside is very rundown and ghetto looking but the food is bomb. Better than L&L. The combo plates are perfect if you got a big appetite like myself. Food can be little greasy but I don't mind that.
A hole in the wall, easily overlooked, but definitely worth going to! I felt my BBQ meat wasn't seasoned enough, but for the amount of food you get for the price, its really good Hawaiian food! The only thing I was genuinely disappointed with was the macaroni salad. I've tasted better salads like that here in Utah. Kind of sad.
I was a little skeptical because of the appearance indoors. I'm glad i gave it a chance. For $10.90 I received so much food. I couldn't eat it all. The meat is Korean bbq style. The macaroni salad was very yummy.
Good food, cooked really hot and fresh. Large portions, reasonably priced. Got the mahi mahi, fried shrimp, teriyaki chicken combo which came with white rice and macaroni salad, all for under $11. Fed three of us (although we've been opting for 4-5 smaller meals a day on our trip).
