Maybe we should have come back later for milkshakes and lunch (menu looks amazing and they've won all kinds of awards). However, we got up early and we were excited for the coffee and breakfast. The coffee was so bad (also only served in paper cups) we had to throw it away. The food was fine but not worth coming out so early. We got a tip from family back home to go elsewhere and were much happier.
I had the Kailua sliders and the dark paradise shake. Everything was delicious. I'll definitely return for more!
Best breakfast burritos on the island hands down! The one in Kailua is open later and has more seating, but the north shore location is conveniently nuzzled in Haliewa. The staff everywhere I have been has always been friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend their "Bombers" specifically the Chun's!
Been here several times over the years...seems like portions are getting smaller and smaller - with less quality. Sometimes tortillas are burned, sometimes the potatoes are burned, sometimes ingredients are missing. Hard to keep spending time/money on inconsistency. Overall, it's worth trying once...just don't know what you're going to get :(
I'm not a huge reviewer or anything. But I have never had a bad meal from Kono's! I always get the chuns bomber and it is always fantastic and made to the same standard Everytime!
