This place is a quiet little intimate setting. The staff is small but extremely friendly. The food was packed with flavor. I ordered the Shrimp Katsu curry. Large portion for a decent price.
--there was only half an effort and it looked like it had already been boiled to death (instead of having a liquid yolk)
-- the pork belly slice had been cooked to death and had no softness or fat to it. I didn't know that could be done.
-- the fried oyster and chicken we're just sad and soggy and oily
I had the spicy beef ramen and we shared fried rice and gyoza. All the food was very tasty. Service was very good. Place was very clean. Parking can be a challenge.
I can't say much about Rai Rai Ramen because all I ever get is the Oxtail Ramen. The broth is mouthwatering, the postal is so soft.... Pure deliciousness. Eventually I will try something different because all the food looks so good, but I was always told, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".... parking isn't the best but the food makes up for that in my opinion.
This place was nothing on the ramen shops on the Bay Area, but if you have the hankering for it, they're still satisfying if you stick to the basic pork based ramen options.
It was a mediocre ramen place. Ramen is pretty hard to mess up, so it wasn't too bad but:
-- we had vegetarian people who made sure to ask whether their orders were vegetarian, and received a pork slices in their ramen. They fixed this by just taking out the slices (as opposed to offering a vegetarian broth or stating that they did not have vegetarian ramen.
Unbelievable great Ramen food place. My all time favorite in Hawaii!!
